HOPITAL PANZI - OR

The Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, led by Nobel Peace Prize Dr. Denis Mukwege, is internationally recognized for its work in treating survivors of sexual violence and offering them a path to healing. Being part of such a meaningful mission was a true honor for Adam, which contributed to the production of the operating rooms designed to save lives and restore hope. In collaboration with a leading global brand of medical equipment, Adam supplied complete wall claddings and designed a space that meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety. But this project went beyond pure functionality: Adam sought to enrich a typically aseptic space with a layer of storytelling. Large 4K-printed glass panels were installed, featuring portraits of local women, farmers, teachers, and artisans, captured in their daily lives. These images remind everyone entering the room that this is a place of resilience, courage, and rebirth. Women are the heart of the Panzi community: they nurture, educate, and rebuild even in the face of hardship. By bringing their faces and stories into the operating rooms, Adam aimed to create an environment that is deeply human, celebrating the strength and dignity of the women who inspire this hospital’s mission.
